Doc Porter (David Fisher) is the former boyfriend of Meg. He has just returned to Hazelhurst - wife and kids in tow - to take care of some personal affairs.

Relationships with other characters: Doc is well acquainted with all three Magrath sisters, especially Meg (whom he used to see in high school). But she abruptly left Hazelhurst - and him - five years ago to pursue her acting career. Even though he's now married, he still has unfinished business with her.
