Chick (Vicki Burnham) is the cousin of Lenny, Meg and Babe. She lives right next door to Lenny, and often drops by with gossip, advice and criticism -- whether it's asked for or not.

Relationships with other characters: Chick truly believes that she knows what is best, and doesn't hesitate to let other people know what she thinks. She's actually quite close to Lenny, and pities her for having to put up with her wayward sisters. With Meg and Babe, Chick has even more of a know-it-all attitude. Even though she deplores their actions, it's possible that she secretly waits for them to misbehave. That way, she has the chance to compare her spotless reputation with theirs.

Chick's family never appears in the show, but we know she is married to Buck Boyle and has two kids, Peekay and Buck Jr.

Quotes: "To come on home! Why, Lenora Josephine, have you lost your only brain, or what?"

"Well, I was only trying to warn her that she's going to help herself....She doesn't have the vaguest idea. Does she now?"

"You know, you shouldn't smoke. It causes cancer. Cancer of the lungs. They say each cigarette is just a little stick of cancer. A little death stick."

"I'm so sorry! I am so sorry for you! And for Little Babe, here, too. I mean to have such a sister as that!"

"Why, I've had just about my fill of you trashy Magraths and your trashy ways; hanging yourselves in cellars; carrying on with married men; shooting your own husbands!"

Notes:(Ed.): In some ways, Chick actually reminds me of a character in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Like Chick, Mae is a busybody who has all the answers. A major difference is that Mae is a conniver and a schemer who actively goes after Big Daddy's estate . Chick, on the other hand, has no ulterior goal, and really doesn't intend to be mean -- it just turns out that way.
