Beauty: Daughter of the King and Queen. Young, naive and trusting. Very curious about the world outside the castle. Quote: "There must be so much I am missing. Sometimes I feel like I am sleeping through life."

King: Father of Beauty. Kindly, wise and generous. Protective of his only daughter. Quote: "There is so much that can happen in a castle, after all."

Lionel: Prince of Tarragon. Brave, intelligent and chivalrous. Believes in duty and doing good deeds. Quote: "I know it sounds crazy, a hundred years ago...faeries...a kiss from the son of a king and all, but, well, it's that voice...she calls to me, and answer I must."

Midnight Faerie: Oldest of the faeries. Aloof, self-centered and malicious. Prone to fits of jealousy. Quote: "No one here...good! I really don't need all of their goody-goody chatter cluttering up my personal space."

Morning Faerie: Youngest of the faeries. Giddy, thoughtless but kind-hearted. Cries at weddings. Quote: "Now is it my turn? Huh? Can I cast my spell?"

Noontide Faerie: Third oldest of the faeries. Smart, perceptive and practical. Good at organizing. Quote: "Sweetie, remember, each Faerie is allowed only one spell of magic for any mortal. So your first one had better be right."

Queen: Mother of Beauty. Gracious, virtuous and refined. Protective of her only daughter. Quote: "Beauty, my sweet, sweet child. There are things in the world of which you are best off not knowing."

Twilight Faerie: Second oldest of the faeries. Tolerant, patient and serene. Enjoys using her magic to help others. Quote: "It's not every day a Faerie gets to give a gift to a Princess, you know."
