Alan A'Dale: Troubadour, member of the Merry Men. Young, likable and kind-hearted. Somewhat headstrong. Quote: "I'm telling you, Robin, the best way to get results is the way I learned from Little John -- to overpower your enemy."
Ellen: Daughter of the Wheelwright. Young, innocent but strong. Loves her father dearly. Quote: "You would not dare be so bold if King Richard did know how you abused your tenants."
Maid Marion: Sweetheart of Robin, member of the outlaw band. Smart, swift and perceptive. An accomplished pickpocket and spy. Quote: "The villagers will never be able to survive the winter with another burden like this. Robin, isn't there something we can do?"
King's Page: Servant to (and niece of) King Richard. Bright, cheerful and sensible. Wise beyond her years. Quote: "I would not trust the Sheriff. He and his deputy do not seem to have the welfare of Nottingham in mind."
King Richard: Sovereign of England. Thoughtful, judicious and decisive. Has the interests of his subjects at heart. Quote: "...And when the rabbits have lots of little bunnies, the Crown is the last to know. But when the Parliament is stressing and the news is depressing, the Crown should be the last to know!"
Robin Hood: Leader of the thieves. Cunning, brave and kind-hearted. Foe of the Sheriff. Quote: "You're right, Cottsworth. It is I, Robin Hood...and it looks as if you'll have some explaining to do with the Sheriff tonight...so I won't keep you. Ta-ta!"
Sheriff of Nottingham: Tax-collector and landlord in Nottingham. Sneaky, supercilious and power-hungry. Hates Robin Hood and his band. Quote: "No! I have decided that this shoppe is mine! It's too late. I don't know where you got this silver, and I don't care. Target, throw them out!"
Target: Deputy of the Sheriff. Tough, mean and not too bright. Holds a personal grudge against Robin Hood. Quote: "Bulls-eye's a Cottsworth, and so am I! He had no right to ruin my name!"
Friar Tuck: Pickpocket, member of the Merry Men. Intelligent, keen-eyed and adroit. Loves fooling the Sheriff. Quote: "This situation needs finesse...perhaps the special skills of a master pick-pocket? I'll go."
Wheelwright: Local craftsman running a shop in Nottingham. Honest, hard-working and persevering. Cares about his craft. Quote: "You are a hard man, Sheriff. I may not be so easily replaced."
