I'm Alan A'Dale, a troubadour. I used
to make my living by telling tales and singing songs. But I took
a shopkeeper's apple by mistake (I was terribly hungry), and that
mean deputy chased me all the way into Sherwood Forest. I've been
an outlaw ever since.
Quotes: "Hey, shouldn't we have a cheer or something? How about, 'All for one, and one for all'?"
"He had steamed Bulls-eye by beating him in the competition. He'd angered Lady Winona by preferring Maid Marion to herself...and he had infuriated the Sheriff by refusing his offer of deputation. Not bad for an hour's work."
"Robin Hood is not a coward! And he'd never be friends with the likes of you! Never-ever! Yah!"
Notes: The role of Alan A'Dale marked the BBT
and Boston Baked Theatre debut of Alex Keomurjian (above, with
Friar Tuck and
Little John).
Unlike other narrators of our Boston Baked
Theatre shows, Alan begins his story before it's finished. (He
tells his tale after he and Marion are kidnapped by the Sheriff,
but before Marion and Robin combine their wits to rescue them.)
