Rapunzel The Story

My story starts with the peasant couple known as Martin and Etta Sue. They weren't the richest of people, but they did cultivate a lovely garden, with some of the biggest and most succulent vegetables in the whole county. The couple often brought the cream of their crop to the annual fair -- and just as often returned with the top prizes.

But Martin and Etta Sue weren't completely happy. They lamented the fact that they had no child with whom to share their lives. As the years passed, they spent more and more time discussing the subject, until it was the only thing they talked about.
