The Emperor's New Clothes
The Story

[Vincent the Vain and his wardrobe]The Emperor was a generous and benevolent ruler, except that -- as I've mentioned before -- he was very vain. In fact, there was nothing in the entire land that interested Vincent more than his wardrobe. Every so often, he would become convinced that he needed an entire new look, and would command the Royal Tailor to produce a stunning set of clothes. But no matter how hard the poor Tailor worked, the Emperor would reject the clothes as too drab, or too gauche, or too old-fashioned, and would promptly fire him.

Until a new tailor was found, Vincent would think of nothing else These were dark times for the royal court. The Emperor refused to laugh at my silly jokes. He refused to eat the delicious food made by the Cook. He refused to heed the wise advice of the Magician. And he neglected his loving wife, the Empress.
