The Fairy Godmother is Cinderella's special guardian and helper. She means well, but somehow things
never work out quite the way she's planned. Maybe it's because she's always
getting her spells mixed up.
Quotes: "Oh, I know what you're thinking. I don't look like a Fairy Godmother, but it's the 90's, okay?"
"Naturally, I need to find the spell. If I could remember what number spell it was, that would help, but there are so darn many..."
(To Cinderella) "Why, set them in front of the pumpkin, of course. (To herself) Where do horses usually go?"

Notes: Jeannette Ryan (above, with Cinderella) makes her Boston Baked Theatre debut as the forgetful Fairy Godmother. Patricia McLaughlin (right) portrayed the character for our 1995 performances.
A prop note: Jeannette's Fairy Godmother used a TV remote control to cast her spells. (She is a modern Fairy Godmother, after all.)
