[Mark Leahy as the Merchant] My sweet, loving, dear father is a fair and honest merchant who has fallen upon hard times. Yet he always has ample time to spend with his devoted daughters. Of course, sometimes, he does let his curiosity and the love for his daughters get the best of him.

Quotes: "Beauty, everything will be wonderful-- I promise. And now, I must be on my way. What can I bring each of you?"

"Thank you, kind sir. But may I not see the gentle face of the man who saved my life?"

"Should I take one? But I said I would not. Still, he would not miss ONE rose, would he?"

Notes: Mark Leahy (above, with the Troubadour) played the kindly Merchant.

Mark grew a beard just for the show, and also wore padding under his shirt as part of his costume.
