Ali Baba &
the Forty Thieves
Show Characters

This is my brother, Ali Baba. When he's not in the forest collecting sticks, he's in the market trying to sell them. My brother even dreams of opening a store one day, dedicated to selling sticks. But he seems a little too naive and trusting to become a sharp businessman like yours truly.

Quotes: "Sticks here...come and get 'em while they're...umm...sticky..."

(To audience): "What kind of ridiculous thing to say is that? 'Open sesame?' I don't even like sesame."

"All that treasure is stolen, and it's all going to be given to people who need it, to make up for what you did. There's lots of people who could use a big 600 pound statue of somebody's foot."

Notes: David Fisher (above) made his Boston Baked Theatre debut in the title role of Ali Baba.

David came up with a very funny bit for his character during the play's chase scene. At one point, Ali Baba launched himself on a carpet while commanding, "Up, up, and away!" Despite the references to both "Superman" and "Aladdin", the carpet refused to fly, and Ali Baba ended up doing a belly-flop.
